Privacy Policy - Between

Between is a privacy-first intimate rhythm journal. We minimize data processing: no account is required by default, raw audio is not uploaded, voiceprint recognition is not performed, and the app does not identify or separate participants.

1. Information Processed

Microphone input: used on the device to analyze audio intensity and generate real-time rhythm visuals.
Records: time, duration, rhythm curve, review text, tags, and notes stored on the device.
Raw audio: saved locally only if the user enables audio saving. Users can turn this off or delete saved audio.
TV display sync data: rhythm intensity, curve, state, theme, and visual effect sent to a paired receiver on the same local network.
Purchase entitlement: app-store purchase status stored locally to unlock paid features.

2. Microphone and Raw Audio

Microphone access is used to create real-time rhythm visuals. Audio intensity analysis happens on the device. We do not upload raw audio to a server. Users can turn off raw audio saving; after that, new records will not keep raw audio files.

3. Local Storage and Deletion

Records are stored on the user's device. Users can delete a record, delete a saved audio file while keeping the review, or clear all past records. The app will make best efforts to remove the corresponding local content.

4. TV Display Sync

TV display sync shows rhythm visuals on a local "Between TV" receiver. The sync payload does not include raw audio, notes, tags, or past records. Local network configuration is controlled by the user.

5. In-App Purchases

Paid features are processed through App Store or Google Play. Payment credentials are handled by the store. We do not store card numbers, payment passwords, or similar payment credentials.

6. Third Parties

We do not sell user data. The first version does not integrate advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, cloud accounts, or cloud audio backup.

7. Age Restriction

Between is intended for adults. Users under 18 should not use this app.
